The New Jersey chapter of One World One Family (OWOF) Foundation organized a “Concert for a Cause” with Bollywood star singer and humanitarian, Sumeet Tappoo, on August 30 to raise funds for their 600-bed free hospital in Muddenahalli, Karnataka, India.
Sumeet Tappoo and his team of accompanying musicians enthralled a crowd of nearly 300 people at the Bell Theater in Holmdel, NJ. He rendered old Bollywood classics by Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi, as well as the touching melodies of Jagjit Singh, and some of his own songs from his recent album with writer-director Gulzar. Guests enjoyed the evening, with folks on their feet, some dancing in the theater to the fast-paced evergreen Hindi film songs.
Soma Rao, President of OWOF’s NJ/NY Chapter, in his presentation, shared the organization’s global humanitarian message of love and compassion, highlighting their mission to provide free nutrition, education, and healthcare to underprivileged children and adults in over 30 countries.

‘Radio Guru’ Kulraaj Anand introduced the star of the show, Sumeet Tappoo.
Sumeet Tappoo is on a tour of the US, headlining concerts in 30 cities for a good cause – raising funds for the world’s largest free rural hospital being built in Karnataka, which is expected to be inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November this year.
