In a world where stress and negativity often cloud our minds, there shines a beacon of hope – Shrimati Rajeshwari Modi, lovingly known as Raj Didi. A world-renowned motivational speaker, Reiki Grandmaster, and counselor, Raj Didi has dedicated her life to guiding people toward inner peace, healing, and an elevated way of living that she calls 7-Star Life.
As the founder of Narayan Reiki Satsang Parivar (NRSP), a socio-spiritual organization with its main center in Mumbai, India, and branches across the globe, Raj Didi has touched countless lives through her wisdom and healing techniques over the last almost three decades. She also emphasizes a simple yet profound truth: our thoughts, speech, and behavior shape our reality. She emphasizes the power of words, explaining how mindful speech can transform not just individual lives but entire families and communities.
Through her Narayan Reiki and Vardaan Reiki, developed from deep meditative insights, Raj Didi has enabled people to heal themselves and their loved ones, manifesting positivity and well-being. Those who have learned this Vidya under her guidance have witnessed miracles – be it physical healing, emotional breakthroughs, or the fulfillment of long-held dreams. Donations collected from teaching Narayan Reiki, Karuna Reiki and Vardaan Reiki are used for social service activities, furthering the cycle of giving and healing..
Her divine connection is evident in her numerous YouTube videos, where she effortlessly answers the deepest questions troubling the human mind. Many seekers find clarity and direction just by listening to her, realizing how small shifts in their thoughts and words can lead to profound changes in their lives. Her family appreciates and supports her work. Her husband is a businessman and their two sons are both specialist doctors.
Navni Chawla, Assistant Editor at Lotus, spoke to Raj Didi days before the beloved teacher was to leave India for her Europe trip. What begins as a formal, exclusive interview soon turns into a deeply personal and transformative experience. As Raj Didi shares her insights, Navni finds herself not just reporting on wisdom but absorbing it – feeling lighter, inspired, and more aware of the power of her own words and energy.
The conversation in Hindi with Raj Didi from a Zoom call is presented here in translation:
Navni Chawla: What led you to choose this path of healing and service, Raj Didi? Was there a defining moment or source of inspiration?
Raj Didi: It didn’t begin as a conscious inspiration, Navni. My childhood was filled with spiritual study – our home had a collection of profound books that my father would bring. As we immersed ourselves in them, the seeds of spirituality were naturally sown within us, shaping our values and outlook.
Over time, as I started walking this path, I witnessed the joy and transformation in people’s lives. Seeing their smiles, their growth, and the positive changes they experienced deepened my own sense of purpose. Now, I feel even more inspired and enthusiastic. This is just the beginning of a much larger journey, with so much more ahead to explore and serve.

Narayan Reiki is traditional Reiki to which I integrated the sacred Ram Ram chant, enhancing its spiritual depth through devotion. Vardaan Reiki, on the other hand, emerged as a result of the symbols I saw in deep meditation.

A Divine Blessing for all who Practice it
Navni: How are Narayan Reiki and Vardaan Reiki, developed by you, differ from traditional Reiki?
Raj Didi: Narayan Reiki is a combination of the traditional Usui Reiki, chanting and affirmations. During my meditations, I realized the power of integrating the sacred chant of Ram-Ram into Reiki practice. Narayan Reiki thus enhances the spiritual depth of Reiki through devotion.
Vardaan Reiki, on the other hand, emerged as a result of the symbols I saw in deep meditation. These symbols, their meanings, and their specific purposes were revealed to me intuitively. As my enthusiasm drove me to practice and explore them further, I witnessed profound benefits. This personal experience led me to share it with others. True to its name, Vardaan Reiki has proven to be a vardaan (divine blessing) for all who practice it.
I owe all the healing work I am able to do, the powers I have received, and the visions I have had in meditation entirely to God’s grace. Since childhood, I have had the habit of waking up at Brahma Muhurta (before dawn) to engage in japa and chanting. The spiritual atmosphere at home nurtured this inclination – reading scriptures was a way of life, and my father knew verses from the Ramayana by heart. For us children, walking this path felt natural, effortless, and sehaj (spontaneous).
Navni: Can you share a couple of powerful stories of individuals who transformed after coming in contact with you?
Raj Didi: When I first learned Reiki, I was also studying acupressure – a healing therapy where pressing specific points on the body alleviates pain and restores balance. Reiki, on the other hand, allows healing to take place from anywhere in the world through symbols and mantras. Both are safe, without any side effects.
To experiment with these therapies, I began offering healing to my house help. I was amazed to see miracles unfolding – people experienced relief, and their pain disappeared. As word spread, neighbors started coming to my home, initially just to try it out. One by one, they began experiencing healing, and soon, more and more people came through word of mouth. Reiki and acupressure became known as effective alternative healing methods that could also be used alongside conventional medicine.
One day, my dishwashing help arrived with severe pain in her legs and waist. She asked for tea and some medicine, but before that, I gave her acupressure and Reiki. She fell into a deep sleep, and when she woke up an hour later, she was astonished – her pain had vanished. Feeling light and energetic, she immediately resumed her work with joy.
Another time, a woman came to me with intense knee pain. Doctors had advised her to undergo urgent surgery. I gave her acupressure and Reiki, and soon, she started walking properly again. Two months later, when she revisited her doctor, he was astonished – she no longer needed surgery.
One of the most moving experiences I had was with a woman who was at her lowest point in life, to the extent that she had left her home and no longer wanted to live. It was late in the evening, and I had closed the center and was heading home when I encountered her. She was facing extreme financial hardship. I took her back to the center, and gave her Reiki healing. She fell asleep and woke up after an hour and a half. When she opened her eyes, she told me her thoughts had completely shifted – her suicidal feelings were gone.
Another incredible transformation was of a young Jain boy whose mother strongly wished for him to become a Chartered Accountant. However, after failing the exam multiple times, they consulted an astrologer who told them that becoming a CA was not in his destiny. Despite this, the boy came to me and learned Reiki. He continued to study hard, kept practicing Reiki, and today, he is a successful CA.
Along with Reiki healing and teaching, we also guide people to avoid negative words, speak gently and sweetly so that their energy aligns with their goals. This ensures that the purpose for which they are taking Reiki is fulfilled in the best possible way.

Women do not need to be empowered – they are Shakti itself. By activating the energies of Durga, Saraswati, and Lakshmi, they uplift the world around them. At satsangs, we help women recognize their own innate power. This transforms their self-perception and brings harmony and love into their relationships.

The Power of the Spoken Word
Navni: How do you connect to the source of energy? Where do you draw your energy from – do you follow a guru? And could you share more about the power of words?
Raj Didi: My spiritual guru is Swami Satyanand Ji Maharaj (of Shree Ram Sharnam movement), who shares divine wisdom through Amritvani. From him and my father, I learned the practice of chanting Ram Ram and using a mala for japa. Their grace has always been upon me. Now, as I walk this path, Narayan Reiki has become my passion. Even if someone wakes me up from sleep, I will naturally be chanting Ram Ram1, Ram Ram2… it has become an incessant rhythm within me. When one remembers God constantly and walks the path of truth, the power to go inward deepens naturally.
Beyond spiritual practices, one’s behavior and character speak before words do, so they must align with the truth.
As for spoken words, they are Brahma – they carry divine power. Words hold immense potency and the ability to shape reality. What we speak has the power to transform our destiny. When we use words that uplift, inspire, appreciate, respect, and motivate others, they enhance our own aura, attracting positivity into our lives.
In our satsangs (spiritual gatherings), we emphasize that negative words should never be spoken – not even as a joke, not even in a whisper, not even in a dream. If anger rises and you feel the urge to say something hurtful, remain silent. Do not speak. Even words that cause pain to others fall under the category of negativity. Words are sacred, and they should only be used to heal, uplift, and bring light into the world.

Spoken words carry divine power. Words hold immense potency and the ability to shape reality. What we speak has the power to shift luck. When we use words that uplift, inspire, appreciate, respect, and motivate others, they enhance our own aura, attracting positivity into our lives.
~Raj Didi
Navni: If someone has spoken unmindfully in the past, how can they begin afresh?
Raj Didi: In the past, one may not have been aware of the immense power of spoken words – their potency, their ability to shape destiny. When words are spoken carelessly, they are like seeds sown into the universe. Those seeds have already been planted, and their effects may have played out in different ways.
However, once you become aware that your words influence not only your destiny but also your body, mind, finances, relationships, environment, life circumstances, and even the Vaastu (energy balance) of your surroundings, you gain the power to transform your life. Words have the ability to shift luck, alter the impact of one’s birth chart, and even influence universal and earthly energies. Such is the power of the spoken word.
With this newfound awareness, you begin to realize that every word you utter carries energy. Negative words invite negativity into every aspect of life – your well-being, your interactions, and your external reality. But the moment you consciously choose to fill your speech with positive, uplifting words, you start attracting positivity from all directions.
Even if you have spoken negatively in the past, that energy can be nullified. The key is to consciously replace past patterns with mindful, constructive speech. As you connect with higher energies and make a habit of speaking with love, encouragement, and awareness, you cleanse the effects of previous words and rewrite the course of your destiny.
Qualities of the 7-star Life
Navni: Could you please share your concept of the 7-Star Life?
Raj Didi: According to the scriptures, human life should be lived based on these essential qualities (using Hindi words):
1. Sehaj – A life of ease and flow, free from unnecessary struggles.
2. Saral – Simplicity in thoughts, actions, and relationships.
3. Sundar – Beauty, not just in appearance but in character and conduct.
4. Sawasth – Healthy in body, mind and spirit.
5. Safal – Success, measured by inner fulfillment and meaningful achievements.
6. Sampann – Abundance, in both material and spiritual aspects.
7. Sarthak – Purposefulness, where life is meaningful and impactful.
Through our teachings, we share practical examples and techniques to help individuals cultivate these qualities in their lives, guiding them toward a truly enriched and balanced existence.
Navni: In your satsang gatherings, more women are seen than men. Could you share your inclination towards helping women?
Raj Didi: Women do not need to be empowered – they are Shakti itself. If you observe any household, when a woman is unwell or unhappy, the entire atmosphere becomes heavy and dull. But when she is strong, healthy, and joyful, she uplifts everyone around her. The key is to activate the divine energies of Durga, Saraswati, and Lakshmi within her, allowing her natural strength, wisdom, and abundance to shine.
Through satsangs, real-life examples, and even scientific reasoning, we help women recognize their own innate power. This not only transforms their self-perception but also brings harmony and love into their relationships.
Women are inherently intelligent, responsible, and capable of managing multiple roles – with grace. They take care of both their parental and in-laws’ families, contribute to society, and often balance professional careers with household responsibilities. Some of the most seemingly ordinary women possess extraordinary wisdom, and many hold high-ranking positions while also nurturing their families with love.
One of the most beautiful transformations we witness is how entire families get connected to our work when they notice a profound shift in just one woman’s behavior after attending satsangs. As her perspective changes, the energy of the entire household elevates, creating an atmosphere of peace, positivity, and deeper understanding.
Navni: If you were to share a pearl of wisdom from your 28 years of selfless service, what would it be?
Raj Didi: I simply started walking, one step at a time, and the path unfolded on its own. Never did I imagine that this journey would lead to such a vast and beautiful NRSP Parivar – a family that I hold so dearly. I never thought life would become this fulfilling, surrounded by such pure-hearted, elevated souls whose character and behavior reflect truth, kindness, and selflessness. This connection, this grace, is my greatest blessing.
The people here work not for personal gain but out of a deep desire to serve others. Their dedication is unwavering – they give their time, energy, and love unconditionally. It fills my heart with immense joy to see how passionately and proactively they uplift lives, working tirelessly, round the clock. Even the youngsters who attend our satsangs are deeply aware; they not only learn but apply these teachings in their daily lives, walking the path of truth with sincerity.
What makes this journey even more rewarding is that we are now recognized worldwide – not because of me alone, but because of the incredible efforts of this extended family. Our team works selflessly, reaching even the most remote villages to offer healing, guidance, and support. Seeing this unity, this shared purpose of uplifting humanity, is my greatest achievement, and I am eternally grateful for it.
Bringing back Traditional Values
Navni: What is your dream, what do you look forward to?
Raj Didi: My dream is simple – to bring back the core values that make life truly meaningful. Ethics, honesty, humility, and respect should once again become the foundation of how we live. Taking only what rightfully belongs to us, speaking with kindness and love, honoring our elders, and nurturing strong family bonds – these fundamental principles must return to every home.
I deeply believe in the revival of joint families, where elders are not sent to old age homes but are cherished, respected, and cared for within their own families. People should understand that true peace and personal evolution come from honoring those who came before us.
Life should be beautiful – not just for individuals but for entire communities. And this beauty should spread naturally, from one person to another, creating a ripple effect of love, harmony, and strong values across generations.
Experience of a Devotee

Dr Monica Mal, a researcher with a PhD who is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, wrote to Lotus that after being introduced by her cousin to Raj Didi and NRSP, she explored further through their online platforms. “The real magic unfolded when I applied these teachings to my everyday life. Small goals turned into profound experiences, and I started witnessing the power of these simple yet life-changing techniques. The beauty of this practice lies in its simplicity — it can be followed by anyone, anywhere, at any time. At its core, it brings us back to the fundamental values of humanity, which often get lost in the chaos of life. It unites us under a single, profound principle – Give and Get.”
