Padma Shri D.R. Kaarthikeyan is the Mentor of Buddha-CEO Quantum Foundation, organizing the 2nd Global Conference of Meditation Leaders in New Delhi from February 20 to 23.
In an interview days before the conference, he spoke to Lotus about his association with the foundation, inspired by Brahmrishi Patriji.
“I’ve been associated with the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement, founded by Brahmrishi Patriji, for the last 20 years. From the time I met Patriji at a function in Hyderabad, he had been very fond of me. He always invited me to the programs of the movement and Ana Pana Sati meditation events. Because of his affection and respect for me, I got connected to the movement.
“I saw his commitment to simple meditation based on Ana Pana Sati, the first three days of Vipassana courses. He simplified meditation and made it accessible even to the man on the street. He combined it with flute music and his own divine gift of singing divine songs. Normally, meditation is done in silence, but he combined music with meditation and popularized Gyana Yoga and Nada Yoga.”
Kaarthikeyan called Patriji a Meditation Master for even the common man. He elaborates, “Patriji traveled all over India and many countries outside, promoting, propagating simple meditation based on breath alone – combined with words of wisdom, and meditation in pyramid structures. In less than 40 years, he made the Pyramid-Ana Pana Sati meditation a global phenomenon. At no charge. As Satya Narayana Goenka ji, who brought the Vipassana meditation from Burma to India 70 years back, told me that meditation is a priceless, life-transforming practice. How can you put any price on it? So, it was always taught free, supported by those few persons who benefited donating voluntarily to keep the Wheel of Dhamma going.”
Patriji created many Masters, continues Kaarthikeyan, who, with their own variation of technology, have popularized meditation all over the world. “One such disciple of Patriji is Chandrasekhar Pulamarasetti. He requested me to inaugurate Ana Pana Sati meditation on the Zoom platform. At that time, around 2020, due to COVID-19, people could not assemble.
“I found Chandra good at teaching meditation and supported it. Now, he has made it an organization, the Buddha-CEO Quantum Foundation. We aim to spread meditation to everyone, everywhere. That is the only way we can bring peace, harmony, and justice to every individual, families, organizations, governments, corporates, and schools.
“From February 20-23, 2025, we are organizing this Global Conference of Meditation Leaders to spread meditation worldwide, to create a world without war, where peace, harmony, prosperity, and justice prevail.”
