The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, inaugurated the 2nd Global Conference of Meditation Leaders (GCML) at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on February 21. The conference, organized by Buddha-CEO Quantum Foundation, marks a pivotal moment in advocating for the integration of meditation into governance, leadership, education, and healthcare, reinforcing its role as a tool for global well-being.
Meditation: A National and Global Imperative
In his keynote address, Vice President Dhankhar emphasized the transformative power of meditation, calling it “not just an ancient practice, but food for the soul and a necessity for peace and well-being.” Quoting the Bhagavad Gita, he urged, “योगी भव” (Become a Yogi) and highlighted India’s role in championing meditation on global platforms, aligning with the United Nations’ recognition of World Meditation Day and the G20 vision of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’.

Honoring Global Leaders in Meditation & Well-Being
The conference recognized distinguished meditation leaders who have significantly contributed to the global spread of meditation and mindfulness practices, and invited them to share their insights. Many of them have been honored by the Indian government with Padma awards. They included:
• Padma Bhushan Daaji (Kamlesh Patel) – Heartfulness Movement
• Padma Shri Dr. D.R. Kaarthikeyan – Leadership & Well-being, Chairman of GCML
• Padma Shri R.V. Ramani – Sankara Eye Foundation
• Padma Shri Dr. H.R. Nagendra – Yoga & Meditation Research, Founder of S-VYASA Yoga University
• Dr. Newton Kondaveti – Founder, Quantum Life University (QLU)
• Chandra Pulamarasetti – Founder, Buddha-CEO Quantum Foundation
Meditation in Policy & Governance
A major highlight of the conference was the resolution – released in the closing session on February 22 – urging governments everywhere to integrate meditation into policy frameworks across education, healthcare, corporate leadership, and governance. The resolution underscores meditation’s scientific impact on emotional intelligence, brain health, and social harmony, making it both implementable and measurable.

Pointing to the unique perceptive ability of women that bypasses intellect and connects directly to the “super heart”, Kamlesh Patel ‘Daaji’ said men have to meditate to connect to this super heart.
Daaji’s Message at the Global Conference of Meditation Leaders
Daaji, the revered spiritual guide of the Heartfulness Movement, delivered a profound address at the GCML 2025, emphasizing the “Silent Revolution of Consciousness.” With characteristic humility and humor, he remarked that condensing such an expansive subject into a short speech felt akin to Krishna guiding Arjuna on the battlefield of Mahabharata.
He delved into the transformative power of Dhyana (meditation), drawing parallels to how Krishna himself used it to elevate consciousness. At its core, meditation fosters the evolution of human awareness, transcending the limitations of the mind. He outlined three fundamental states of consciousness:
1. Sthool (Gross)
2. Sukshma (Subtle)
3. Karana (Causal)
These states influence Manas (mind), Buddhi (intellect), and Ahankar (ego), which in turn shape human perception and decision-making. He explained that while the primary function of the mind is to think, true evolution occurs when thinking progresses into feeling – a deeper, more refined level of awareness.
Daaji also highlighted the unique perceptive abilities of women, noting that mothers, wives, and sisters often sense changes in a loved one’s state even before they express it. This intuitive wisdom arises from the feminine energy that bypasses pure intellect and connects directly to the “super heart” – a space of deep knowing beyond rational cognition. Men have to take to meditation to connect to this ‘super heart’.
He reinforced that meditation serves as the vehicle to ultimate wisdom, allowing individuals to transcend superficial thinking and access profound inner guidance. Quoting the last part of the Gayatri Mantra, he invoked the divine source of all wisdom, urging the audience to embrace meditation as a path to self-transformation and harmony.

Scientific Validation of Meditation
Dr. H.R. Nagendra highlighted how meditation is a measurable science. Research conducted at S-VYASA University, in collaboration with Harvard, has demonstrated meditation’s significant impact on mental and physical health. He described meditation as a journey from dhyana to samadhi, a quantum leap in consciousness that expands human perception and well-being.
Chandra Pulamarasetti, Buddha-CEO founder, in his session “The Science of Meditation”, demonstrated how meditation enhances brain activity, strengthens neural pathways, and increases emotional resilience.
Scientists at the conference highlighted:
• Neurons & Neuropeptides: Meditation increases neural connections, improving cognitive function.
• Fearlessness & Adaptability: Meditation fosters courage, making individuals more open to new experiences.
• Manifestation Power: Meditation amplifies the mind’s ability to attract positive experiences.
Many esearchers presented papers on the scientific benefits of meditation, while several engaging sessions and panel discussions took place in a smaller, secondary hall.

A Call for Global Meditation Adoption
Invoking India’s spiritual heritage, D.R. Kaarthikeyan urged world governments to adopt meditation as a fundamental tool for holistic development. He declared, “With the blessings of great masters, we appeal to all nations to embrace meditation for collective well-being.”
Wisdom from Spiritual Masters
A few eminent spiritual leaders shared insights through video messages for GCML:
• Sadhguru: “Life today is material-oriented. What truly throbs inside is life itself. To enhance life, we must ensure that external accessories do not outweigh inner processes.”
• Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: “Today, we explore all the utilities of meditation.”
• Daaji: “We need self-empowered individuals who influence policy, bring harmony, and foster meditative consciousness in society.”
• Brahmarshi Patriji (GCML’s inspiration): “Meditation changes everything – our body, mind, perspectives on people, and circumstances. That is true progress.”

The Power of Meditation in Transformation
Dr. Newton Kondaveti described meditation as a “welcome pandemic”, spreading across the globe like an unstoppable positive force. He credited Patriji for democratizing meditation, making it accessible to all.
Dr. Newton Kondaveti and Dr. Lakshmi Kondaveti, past life therapy experts, spoke on The Art of Letting Go. Dr. Newton, who transitioned from practicing medicine, emphasized that meditation is a powerful tool to release past residues and limiting beliefs.
Dr. Issac Mathai, chief of Soukya Holistic Health Center in Bengaluru, whose clients include the British royal family, revealed that he has practiced Transcendental Meditation for four decades. Meditation helps him to better relate to patients, and credits it for manifesting Soukya’s success.
Padma Shri Dr. R.V. Ramani, Buddha-CEO Mentor and founder of the Sankara Eye Hospitals chain based in Coimbatore, delivered an inspiring talk on leading a life of service and striving for excellence.
The conference also featured numerous testimonials from individuals – many associated with Brahmarshi Patriji’s Pyramid Societies Movement, as well as others from India and abroad – who spoke about their transformative experiences with meditation.
A Grand Vision for the Future
The inaugural session of the conference concluded with a powerful meditation led by Daaji, emphasizing pranahuti – the transmission of spiritual energy that propels consciousness into higher states. He described pranahuti as “the energy that existed before the formation of Earth, the eternal Adi Shakti that nurtures us even in the womb.”
In his closing remarks, the Vice President reaffirmed his vision: “Meditation will become a national cultural movement. Imagine the peace and fulfillment this will bring to society.”
Invoking a Vedic blessing, he wished:
“सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः । सर्वे सन्तु निरामया। सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु मा कश्चित् दुःखभाग् भवेत्।।”
(“May all be happy, may all be free from illness, may all witness auspiciousness, may none suffer.”)
With a resounding call to action, GCML 2025 set the stage for a future where meditation is not just a personal practice but a societal imperative.
