View all postsA French professor and head of Zone Francophone (French teaching center) based in Salem, Tamil Nadu, Geethanjali is an award-winning poet with nine poetry collections such as Rosée: The Dewdrop (2023). Her mantra is “Bloom where you are planted.”
She launched the Yercaud Poetry Festival, now known as the Soul Scribers Galaxy Poetry Festival, in 2018 in Yercaud, near Salem. Inspired by the five elements—Earth (Plant Poetry, 2018), Water (Float Poetry, 2019), Fire (Ignite Poetry, 2020), Air (Breathe Poetry, 2021), and Ether (Dream Poetry, 2022)—the festival later evolved into the “Shimmering Seasons” series: Winterful Whispers (Mysuru, 2024), Auburn Ambrosia (Pondicherry, 2024), Summer Sashays (Panchgani, 2025), and Vernal Verses (Hyderabad, 2026). Its anthologies are archived at various libraries, bookstores, and colleges, including Sahitya Akademi, Ahmedabad, and Madras Literary Society, Chennai. It also featured at the Delhi Book Fair 2026.
