Kavita Malhotra is a life coach, counselor, therapist, and healer who works with women, adults, children, and seniors to enhance their quality of life. She runs her company, Unnati (Hindi for ‘progress’), with the heartfelt tagline ‘Unleashing Quality Life.’ Drawing from her rich experience, her deep knowledge of healing tools, and her commendable intuition, she has dedicated herself to helping people reconnect with their inner vitality and live more fulfilling lives.
It was my pleasure to ask her questions, and she answered them with grace and generosity – that’s how this article came about. Based in Ludhiana, Punjab, she primarily works with people through WhatsApp audio and video calls.
Personally, I have found her guidance to be magical – powerful enough to spark eureka moments. Her intuition has helped me carve out a career niche I hadn’t even imagined, release what no longer served me, and open the doors to everything beautiful – manifestations, opportunities, and clarity flowing in.
Her Vision of Highest Life
Kavita’s dream vision is rooted in the belief that life, in its purest form, is filled with unconditional love, support, meaning, and passion. But as life unfolds, negative emotions such as hurt, grief, and disappointment begin to cover these treasures, dimming one’s vitality.
“As we peel away these layers,” she says, “the love that already exists for everyone begins to shine through. Unconditional love arises, we support and understand one another, our vibrations rise, life regains balance, and we step into a joyous, love-filled, passionate existence. My vision for women is that they, too, peel off these layers and live fully and beautifully.”
She believes that when a woman’s life is balanced and enriched, it reflects outward – to her family, her community, and eventually to the world at large.
A Turning Point
Kavita’s early path was shaped by her post-graduation in Commerce. After marriage, she began coaching students at home in Economics and Accounts. While she excelled, she realized her true passion wasn’t limited to academics – it was about contributing to her students’ lives with values, principles, and guidance for a meaningful life.
This yearning led her to new possibilities. She attended Landmark Forum programs, became part of their advanced courses – ILP and IL. Later, she immersed herself in Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living programs. Around this time, Reiki entered her life, bringing what she describes as “a complete U-turn.” Her journey was calling her forward.
That calling led her to Raja Yoga Meditation and Godly Studies with the Brahma Kumaris in 2011, practices she has faithfully followed for over 13 years. Along the way, she learned from many teachers and mentors, exploring diverse healing modalities such as EFT.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), often called “tapping,” is a mind-body practice that combines gentle tapping on acupressure points with focused thoughts to release emotional blocks and restore balance.
A major turning point came on her birthday in 2014. That day, she felt deeply unsettled, asking herself, “What is there to celebrate when I haven’t really done anything for others yet?” Acting on this inner urge, she gathered a few members of her husband’s business staff, shared her knowledge with them, and experienced her first taste of deep fulfillment. That moment planted the seed for the path she continues to walk today.
Working with Women
Step by step, Kavita found her true calling – working with women. Having spent years on inner work and self-discovery, she now finds it natural to empathize with other women and their life journeys. She says, “When women are truly heard, they feel such relief, such comfort.” This connection brings her profound happiness.
One of her biggest learnings has been the importance of balance. In her earlier years, she would try to help everyone without caring for herself, often leaving her drained. Today, she emphasizes filling one’s own cup first—through self-care, silence, spiritual practice, and passion projects like her beloved organic gardening—so that energy flows into family, career, and spiritual growth from a place of fullness.

- “Fill your own cup first – only then can you nurture family, career, and spirit with balance.”
- “When we peel away inner layers, what remains is love, harmony, authenticity, and wholeness.”
- “Our talents are entrusted by God – we are only trustees.”
- “Each day is profoundly valuable; make it meaningful and life becomes rich and significant.”

Tools and Powerful Practices
Kavita employs a wide range of healing tools to support women in releasing negativity and rediscovering their essence:
- EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) uses tapping and conscious release to unblock emotions and reprogram limiting beliefs.
- Visualization and affirmations, which she believes are powerful for manifestation.
- Switch words, Colour Therapy, Aura and Chakra Healing, Angel Healing, Ho’oponopono, Space Cleansing, Deep Listening, and Empty Chair work – all of those she integrates thoughtfully into her sessions.
- Journaling, which is her own favorite practice too, helps peel away emotional layers, release negativity, and gain clarity
- Ho’oponopono, a powerful Hawaiian prayer, helps in forgiving and seeking forgiveness, clearing karmic bonds, and restoring peace in relationships. The basic Ho’oponopono prayer is encapsulated in the phrases: “I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you.”
She explains: “Ultimately, all blockages stem from negative emotions stored in our cells. When we release these emotions, energy flows freely, we radiate positivity, and the universe reciprocates.”
Her Devotion and Spiritual Philosophy
Kavita sees her gifts and talents as entrusted by God. She believes she is only a trustee, and surrender is at the heart of her path. After her time with Art of Living, she often asked God if she should use her healing tools for others. She recalls being shown a powerful vision: countless souls needing healing in many different ways and God assuring her that she was chosen for this work.
Almost all her clients have naturally been women, which she sees as divine confirmation of her calling. She feels she is not “doing” anything by force, but rather allowing God’s will to flow through her. This surrender, she says, makes life peaceful and simple.
Gratitude and Values
Kavita acknowledges with deep gratitude the unwavering support of her family. Her husband, children, parents, and even her in-laws gave her the freedom, time, and space to learn, grow, and follow her calling. Their encouragement, she says, is one of the greatest blessings of her life.
She also emphasizes the need to conserve the precious resources the Universe has given us – our energy, our time, the five elements, and nature itself. Preserving these allows us to contribute more meaningfully to the world.
Above all, she believes life is immensely valuable:
“The purpose of life is to make each day meaningful. If we can bring fulfillment into every single day, then life itself becomes truly rich and significant.”
In essence, Kavita Malhotra’s life and work are about peeling away inner layers, clearing blockages, and guiding women to rediscover the love, balance, and vitality already within them. Through her company Unnati, she continues to “Unleash Quality Life,” one meaningful day and one empowered woman at a time.
