An Ode to Motherhood

Happy Mothers day

A beacon of hope for an entire family, the mother requires tenacity of purpose, superhuman sacrifices, and much tolerance and patience. She is an amalgam of many emotions, often surpassing even divinity.

Mother – the most sacred being on this planet. As a word, it is also the most endearing one in mankind’s dictionary.
Being a mother is a blessing. Not many men seem to realize the depth of love and compassion involved in becoming a mother and, more importantly, in being a mother for all time to come.
Reams of paper throughout the evolution of civilization have been devoted to the praise of mother and motherhood, but little has been said about the huge fact that godhead is attained only if one sees the divine aspects of motherhood.
As one who has dealt with unique as well as unfortunate court cases of mothers being deprived of their due respect and rewards not only by the spouse and parents but even by progeny, I advocate the need for all adolescent students in schools, in particular, to be given a conducted tour of maternity wards and childbirth surgeries.
Reason?
The pangs and labor pains that all men escape from can be observed and felt, and they aid in redesigning a more humane and less beastly society. The incidence of molestations and murders will drastically come down.
Mothers are stoic in their silent sufferings and loud in their cries of mercy, love, kindness, and compassionate care for all who take shelter under their wings. To assume the role of mother, a beacon of hope and lighthouse for an entire family, requires tenacity of purpose, superhuman sacrifices, and a great deal of tolerance and patience. She is an amalgam of a whole gamut of emotions, often surpassing even divinity.
An ode to the mother would be incomplete without mentioning the lengths and extent to which a mother would go to protect her flock’s life, liberty, and honor.

Child birth by Mother

Adolescents in schools should be given a conducted tour of maternity wards and childbirth surgeries in hospitals.
Reason?
The pangs and labor pains that all men escape from can be observed and felt, and they aid in redesigning a more humane and less beastly society.

Mother’s Day is on May 12

Many clap in amazement at a mother hen, a duck, the monkey king, and a pride of lions marching past in a line. But how many of us in today’s world of deepfakes, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality actually ponder or salute the magical presence of the Mother in life’s journey?
I, for one, was always pampered by my beloved Mother and raised to be a gentleman in a world where perception and reality grossly are mismatched. Those who know you would know your mother’s temperament, says an old Sanskrit saying. If each of us lived to maintain the prestige and good upbringing by the Mother, there would be a harmonious environment conducive to peaceful co-existence, which is the avowed goal of every religion and constitution worth its name in the world.
Mothers are the most precious and priceless treasure of mankind. Manhood is not to be gauged by abs and tricks but by the way he treats a woman, be it his wife, daughter, companion, stranger, or anybody’s mother. This message ought to go out to every school-going child, and only then can the child be the mother of a better world. To all mothers and motherhood, I bow in reverence and gratitude. Mankind can become Humanity only if tempered with Divinity, which is amply reflected in a Mother.

Very well written essay. Fully agree that in today’s world of social media and virtual reality, children are losing the importance of family values particularly silent sacrifices made and sufferings endured by a mother while their upbringing. They should understand the role played by the mother in their overall development and should not take her for granted. One should understand as to why one remember one’s mother whenever he/she faces any problem/challenge.
